The Ferrari GTC4Lusso’s Best Features

BY FALCON CAR RENTAL

If you’ve ever slid into the driver’s seat of a Ferrari, then you know it’s not just about the vehicle, it’s about the driving experience. Ferrari is known for creating some unique exotic cars in the world. With its racing roots, signature color, rosso corsa, and unbeatable engines, Ferrari has carved out its niche with some of the brand’s most worshipped models include like the Dino, F40, 250 GTO, and more.

In sticking with tradition, Ferrari has recently created a cutting-edge vehicle that not only reaches top speeds but offers a little something for everyone – the GTC4Lusso. As of 2016, Ferrari now adds the GTC4Lusso to its class of superstars. Relying on traditional Ferrari attention to detail and new age technology to create a comfortable driving experience, the four-seat grand tourer succeeds the Ferrari FF, and has some incredible features to fawn over.

1. Designed with utility in mind

When you think “Ferrari,” you might think of a two-seater car tearing down the racetrack. The GTC4Lusso breaks with tradition, offering not only four seats but four-wheel drive and four-wheel steering. The result? A surprisingly sporty Ferrari that’s able to take on any driving conditions. When you slip behind the wheel, you’ll notice that the car is able to handle even extremely low grip conditions. Able to take on crazy bends in the road with a full car of passengers, this Ferrari is a must when you’re looking to take class and speed to a rugged locale or tame track.

2. An enhanced engine

The Ferrari GTC4Lusso’s engine emits something of a celebratory call. Powered by a 12-cylinder engine, the car exhibits an impressive display of energy, pushing out 680 cv at 8,000 rpm when taken to its full capabilities. The car’s 2.6 kg/cv power-to-weight ratio and maximum torque coming in at 697 Nm at 5,750 rpm make it capable of reaching speeds of 60mph in just 3.4 seconds. With 680 horses under the hood, and the capability to reach speeds up to 208 mph, this is a driving experience you won’t want to miss out on.

3. 4RM EVO

Perhaps the most intriguing feature of the GTC4Lusso is its 4RM EVO, Ferrari’s custom all-wheel-drive system. Most all-wheel-drive systems rely on a center transfer case. Ferrari’s, however, relies on a separate gearbox that is mounted at the front of the car’s incredible engine. The car company boasts that this setup enables the GTC4Lusso to access an all-wheel-drive system that is lighter and equipped to handle any terrain as the all-wheel-drive system allows for more efficient weight distribution. When used in conjunction with the car’s effortless SCM-E Magnaride suspension system, you get an impeccably smooth driving experience.

4. Cabin capabilities

The Ferrari GTC4Lusso is the first of its kind to display Dual Cockpit capabilities. Ferrari took the focus solely off the comfort and ease of the driver and extended much of these luxuries to the passenger side as well. Both sides of the front cabin are covered in controls designed to comfort and soothe, including heating controls, chair functionality, and an advanced LCD touchscreen near the center console with comprehensive capabilities. Controls have also been redesigned for enhanced ergonomic mobility throughout the cabin, with controls being implemented in different shapes, functions, and positioning.

5. Control settings

Speaking of what you’ll find inside the spacious cabin, five adaptive drive control settings wait for you. Explore what it means to take the car through Ice, Wet, Comfort, Sport, or ECS Off modes. Ice and Wet are designed for different road conditions – be it snowing or raining. Comfort mode enables softer suspension and shifting feels more seamless, while Sport mode revitalizes your suspension and engine to provide a tighter, more aggressive ride. Lastly, ECS Off is available, it disables your electronic safety technology inside the vehicle, aside from ABS and airbags, of course.
